Photos: first few days in Mexico

We stayed near the Zocalo:

To the east of the Zocalo in the Palacio National, complete with Diego Rivera murals:

On the tourist bus we met a friendly Canadian couple (Tom and Sue), saw a big demonstration of Antorchista's (peasants wanting a better deal for the poor), and hopped off to eat nutella crepes in a cafe-filled neighbourhood:

Also on the tourist bus route was the National Museum of Anthropology - with voladors flying outside, and vibrant traditional art inside:

Tom and Sue later sent us this picture of Mexico City's skyline from their hotel, which was near ours:
