Hi there, Glen Morgan here, Kens son, remember me Heather? Your Dad told my Dad about your trip and he told me and then I looked at your blog and now here I am writing to you. What an excellent journey, idea, experience for you all - I'm trying NOT to pack my bags as I read your adventure!! I was in Kerala a few years back and a few years before that too , what a place, found that it was getting a bit touristy on my second trip but... to lie back on those beaches and look at the 100's of 1000's of stars... I could put up with being a tourist ! If you get chance try and get over to Madurai (overnight sleeper to Madrass from Trivandrum) its an amazing place with a fantstic temple visited by 1000's of pilgrims each day. Also there, a very moving Ghandi museum and if you thought clothes were cheap - be warned!!! (I have the name of a tailor there if you do go !!) Anyhow, have a great trip and hope you don't mind having a new follower - dolphins like being whistled to (what trivia I carry in my head !?)

Hi Glen - great to hear from you and nice to know that people outside of immediate family and friends are interested in our trip. Varkala is amazing and we are trying to motivate ourselves to do some of the great things on offer here - like have a cookery lesson, have a massage, go for an elephant ride etc. but at the moment just chilling and doing very little but eat delicious food, chat to nice people, take a dip in the ocean and sleep.Such a hard life! - Heather

hi melissa
i love reading your posts, thanks for keeping us up to date. what i'm really excited about today is the dolphins, and someone mentioned birds and butterflies and lizards ( do you pay extra to have those in your room? seems like a luxury to me!) can you take a picture of the dolphins so we can share them a bit? how are you doing with the food now? is there anything unusual that you've eaten? i liked you food diary from china, will you do one for each new country you go to?
take care and enjoy the wildlife
lots of love
