Safe in Mumbai

Just a quick note to say that we're safely installed at Godwins Hotel in Colaba, Mumbai, 200 yds from our first hotel, and much cleaner and nicer, where we'll stay for a couple of days before heading south to Kerala. Tonight we begin our five months of weekly anti-malarial mefloquine (lariam) tablets (purchased today from a chemist outside Bombay Hospital at a fraction of the UK price) - we'll let you know how wierd our dreams get. It's hot, the food is great, there are a lot of people, some are very poor, many are very friendly - and it's a whole lot more British than China.

Glad to hear you arrived safely in India ..... cant wait for the next instalment (its a bit like having an international soap opera installed on my screen every lunchtime!!)

Not much to report here except its getting very cold and the forecasters have predicted a very cold winter, so its just as well you'll miss it! Tilly Stan and I are off to buy hats and gloves and scarves at the weekend in preparation. The Autumn leaves are turning amazing shades of red and orange and we might go off to Westonbirt Arboritum to see all the trees in their splendor this weekend. lots of love to you all, Sasha xxxxx

Hey, I have to post anonymous because, y'know, I have a pseudonymous blog that you're not seeing :P.

Oh introductions first? I'm Zach, the intelligent and witty (now) sixth-former who presented the American Studies thing to the parents. Things you may recognise me by are my incessant chatter, and flaming ginger hair. Oh, and my modesty.

So hey Rosa! I'll make this an open comment, just, 'cos. I'll try not to say anything embarrassing (like about how you stole that HUGE chocolate bar one day...)

So yeah! Sounds like you're having an awesome time. And Lariam? Damn. You know... There's a lot of stories about it. Hope it works ok though! *resists telling horror stories*

Remember: Peace!
